Hi to All:

     I hope you and your family are well.  I write to provide you with a brief Pop Warner  update.

     Many parents have inquired as to when practices are scheduled to begin.  Understandably, parents are looking to schedule summer vacations.  The Board has voted to commence a regular practice schedule the week of August 10th.  Individual coaches may elect, however, to begin a week earlier if they so desire.  No matter.  As you know, we have always encouraged families to keep to their summer plans.  There will be football enough when you return.  While football is certainly a priority at DPW, nothing is more important than time together with the family.

     We suspect that there are some families in our membership who have not yet had the chance to register.  Accordingly, we will hold a joint Registration/Paperwork night on July 8th at 6:30-8:30 pm.  You may also register your child by going to our website and printing and completing the registration form. 

     Our goal is always to provide access to all children who wish to participate.  We are obligated, however, to seasonably report our rosters to the National Pop Warner organization.  Accordingly, if your child is interested in joining us for the 2009 season, please plan on registering your child as soon as possible. 

     We will soon be unveiling new DPW apparel.  We are proud of the new designs and  hope that you will consider purchasing our updated clothing as a show of support for your child. 

     I hope you and your family enjoy the oncoming summer.  The warmer weather, the smell of freshly cut grass all stirs fond memories of great football seasons past and the promise of a great season in 2009.  We are happy that you are with us.
